On Thursday, November 8th, Steve Haskin was on The Blood-Horse’s “Talking Horses” feature, and in response to a question about positive stories and movies about horse-racing said this:

The documentary First Saturday in May has been shown at several film festivals
and is perhaps the best movie you’ll ever see on horse racing. (Emphasis mine)

Congrats, John and Brad! As noted earlier in the week by Dana at Green but Game, the film was a co-winner for Best Documentary at the Savannah Film Festival.
