Long time, no…

Well, it’s August 2025 and I haven’t posted anything here since…September 2024.

All is well. No health setbacks, thank goodness (knocking wood), and no good reason, as I’ve spewed forth plenty of words over the last year.

If you get notifications of new posts, here’s your warning: in what is almost certainly a futile attempt to make Brooklyn Backstretch a (more) complete archive of my work, I’m going to be post-posting (bad in horseracing, fine in website updating) much of what I’ve written over the last 12 months, so you may well be in store for a slew of emails about articles that are definitely not new.

I’ll understand if you unsubscribe, and hope that you’ll return in early 2026.

And just for the heck of it, here’s a picture of my heart horse T Loves a Fight on the Saratoga backstretch this summer. Retired now for several years, he’s still owned by Orlanda Noda and is the barn’s stable pony.
