At the break of the Grade III Withers at Aqueduct Saturday afternoon, the #2 horse, Far From Over, stumbled under jockey Manuel Franco, who pulled the horse up to re-gather him, then sent him chasing after a field of horses more than a dozen lengths in front of him.
Off the screen for much of the 1 1/16 miles race, Far From Over lived up to his name, steadily gaining ground, ducking in to the rail to save ground, then threading through horses to get his first victory, winning by 1 3/4 lengths and picking up a graded stakes win and 10 Kentucky Derby points after looking hopelessly beaten.
