Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue doesn’t boast any Derby winners—or maybe even any Derby runners–but its equine family of 150 stakes winners and claimers invite you to the farm’s first Derby party, a fundraiser at Madava Farms in Dover Plains, NY.
The home of 100% organic Crown Maple syrup, the beautiful Madava Farms is a working farm and event space in the Hudson Valley. The Derby party will feature passed hors-d’oeuvres and stationary food tables with vegetarian and vegan options, along with a cash bar with local wines, craft beers and specialty Crown Maple cocktails.
Among the maple- and Derby-centric treats: maple roasted pecans and maple bourbon shrimp, maple chocolate pecan pie and maple bourbon cream cookies.

A silent auction will be held to benefit Akindale, along with a hat contest with a gallon of Crown Maple Syrup as the prize.
